About Us

Lions clubs like Chewelah Valley Lions meet the needs of local communities around the world every day because they share a core belief – to serve their communities. Chewelah Valley Lions, a part of this “largest service club in the world,” imparts the motto – We Serve!

In Chewelah:

Lions conduct vision screenings at local schools for ages 5-14, provide assistance for eye surgery through the Northwest Lions Foundation, and provide hearing aids and eye glasses for those who qualify by working closely with local hearing aid centers and doctors. Besides vision and hearing screening, Lions serve their local communities by contributing to Chewelah’s Distinguished Young Women, sponsoring a Boy Scout troop and bi-monthly blood drives through Inland Northwest Blood Center, providing scholarships to graduating seniors, and supporting youth diabetes camp. Chewelah Valley Lions contribute to KCHW Radio, the Chewelah Chamber of Commerce, Chewelah Arts Guild, partner with the local Kiwanis club on community projects, and participate in Chewelah’s BooFest, and city-wide and highway cleanup projects.

Lions help during disasters. Together, Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF) and local Lions clubs help communities following natural disasters by providing for immediate needs such as food, water, clothing and medical supplies.

Lions are Active! We are part of a global service network, doing whatever is necessary to help our local communities. We Serve!
